magdaleneA Song of Songs: Mary Magdalene Awakes

Jennifer Chapin

Although the title leads you to believe that the book is about Mary Magdelene, once you have read the first few chapters, you get a sense that there is so much more. The book is multi-layered. While on the surface you learn of the journey that Jenna takes towards self-discovery and an awakening, the historical backdrop - starting with the Cathars, the Knights Templar and the magical/mythical Langeudoc region of France - Jenna's quest takes the reader back through time. It is here that Jenna finds her answers, and the reader is cast as an accomplice, forced to decide within himself which side of the debate to align with. Although Jenna is unwavering in her allegiance to the forces of light, a larger shadow is cast onto the reader, forcing a very personal decision, both about the novel, and themselves. Release Date: September 2008

List Price: $16.95
